About Career Mirror
Career Mirror puts "the you that you know" next to "the you that others experience", and finds the career and business paths you can realistically reach from where you are now.
What the service does
A 10-minute self-assessment (46 items) measures your interests, values, strengths and working style, and identifies your leading combination among 8 role types. On top of that, an anonymous 3-minute review from three people who know you surfaces the strengths a solo test misses. Your result includes recommended careers and business models, plus a 30-day, 90-day and 1-year action plan.
Why we split the score in two
Most aptitude tests only tell you how well something fits you. Career Mirror calculates a second score alongside it: whether you can actually get there with your current experience, budget and time. You need that separation to choose realistically — between a path that fits beautifully but has a narrow door right now, and one that fits reasonably and is open today. The overall score is 65% Fit and 35% Feasibility.
How we operate
The same answers always produce the same result, because a fixed formula does the scoring. Both the scores and the written analysis come from that formula — no generative AI is involved. Peer reviews are anonymous — you cannot see who said what. The first strength hint opens at two responses, the self-vs-peer comparison at three, and differences by relationship at five; all of it is shown only in aggregate. Every recommendation is shown with its reasons, its cautions and its uncertainty, and you can delete your results and data at any time.
What this is not
Career Mirror is a decision-support tool for career exploration. It is not a clinical psychological assessment or a medical test, and it does not guarantee employment, income or success.
